At present, the grain produced on the Company’s fields is sold to domestic costumers. Among them are the largest export and grain-processing companies in Central Russia. In a longer perspective, as own production increases, Black Earth Farming may  export grains primarily to Europe and the Middle East via the Black Sea or the Baltic Sea ports. A prerequisite for this ambition is to secure access to the necessary infrastructure such as storage and transport capacity.

Black Earth Farming is in the process of acquiring an elevator in which parts of the harvest can be dried and stored until the grain prices reach favourable levels. This gives the Company a competitive advantage over farm operators that must sell produce directly from its fields. Modern and efficient elevators are almost non-existent in Russia today. Therefore, Black Earth Farming has plans to build new elevators, which will provide the opportunity to store the entire future harvest, and the opportunity to sell overcapacity to other grain producers.

Since the Company will connect the planned elevators to railway, the grain can be sold directly from these sites. Companies with access to facilities with well-developed infrastructures, like Black Earth Farming, often conclude supplier contracts with buyers for fixed quantities.
